Carlton Towers
This is a large historic house close to Selby in North Yorkshire. The previous heating system was prone to break down, and had required five different boilers over the years. Mayne Gas Heating Ltd was able to provide the solution after conducting a full survey of the building. After mapping out the old systems, we had to take into account the historic and therefore sensitive nature of the listed building, as well as work around Carlton Towers’ busy wedding and events schedule.
We created a plant room for the new boilers and a radiator and plumbing system was added to a part of the building that previously went without heat. A pumped hot water circuit helped replace immersion cylinders and thanks to the Vokera CondexaPro boiler, staff at Carlton Towers now have complete control over the heating. Costs were cut drastically, as was the carbon footprint, and a diesel-powered back-up generator was also supplied in case of emergencies.
