"Recently used Mayne for a boiler service. Had been let down by previous plumbers not turning up, called Mayne, got booked in for 2 days later, turned up when they said they would. Did the job efficiently and cleaned up well. Lovely guy. Highly recommend."

"A catastrophe averted. Our central heating failed on Wednesday evening. My wife had just returned home after 10 days in hospital. Our insurers could only come and inspect the system late on Friday evening. So I rang Mayne's who fitted me in for Thursday afternoon and the highly efficient engineer went above and beyond to put things to rights. By 4-30 the house was warm and welcoming. We are very grateful to Mayne's for their prompt attention to our problem and would not hesitate to use them again."

"Darren Mayne and his staff are everything you need in the world of heating and plumbing. From my initial phone call to the end of the job there was just professionalism throughout. Office staff polite and efficient, Darren, the boss, knowledgeable and helpful. Jake the lead engineer and his assistant George were skilful and very hardworking. These two chaps are, of course, two of the main cogs in the Mayne Heating company. The job was to remove a boiler that was broken and replace with a new one, a Combi-boiler. This required a good deal of pipework alteration and removal, along with removal of water tank and header tank in the loft, also the hot water storage tank in the airing cupboard. No small task, after draining the whole system. All went well and the system is working beautifully. Thanks to all at Mayne! "

"Having recently moved into a new property, a lot of the systems in the house were ancient and out dated. I discovered that two of the radiators were badly corroded and leaking. The response from Mayne Gas was swift, and the same day I had a helpful and polite visit. I had all the radiators replaced, and the boiler. The task was done efficiently and without undue mess. The engineers were friendly and professional, they did their best to do the job with minimum disruption to me.

Overall very pleased with the experience and service.

A short time after the fitting I saw that there was a small, minuscule leak from one of the water pipes leading into the boiler, the next day they sent some one over to tighten the connections. All good."

"I chose Mayne gas due to their 5 star reviews and as a way of supporting local businesses. Darren came out to give me a quote to replace our 40 year old boiler and change to a non vented system. Although the quote was for a Vailiant boiler, this was changed at our request to a Worcester Bosch. Although the estimate was for it to take 2 days, it did run into 3 as there were problems with the wiring to the control unit which eventually had to be completely rewired by Jacob the fitter who was a smashing lad and obviously a extremely competent technician. Due to time restraints the another fitter came 2 weeks later to lag all the exposed pipework and patch up a hole in the wall. from the old overflow pipe. Water pressure currently in the shower is amazing! Overall not the cheapest quote but an excellent job all-round."

"Mayne Gas’ engineers visited to carry out the annual service of our gas boiler - the engineers arrived on time and spent time servicing the unit and providing information about its condition. Mayne Gas installed the central heating system some time ago now and I have used them ever since to maintain it. The service received is unfailing of great quality for a realistic price. The admin team are as good as the engineers so the whole process is reliable and efficient. On a side note, we thought it was terrific to see a lady training to be one of Mayne Gas’ engineering team - she accompanied a gentleman who was the lead engineer and having three daughters we thought it was refreshing to see this kind of opportunity being provided in this industry."

"We had the old heating system replaced. Darren called round to quote us we agreed Then 26th August 2021 the work started the guys that came were Charlie and Jacob, they were on time, firstly they laid sheets down to protect the floors, after every point of the job they hoovered all the mess up. They removed all old pipework and kept us informed of their progress. On the 27th August 2021, they arrive again on time and finished completion of the job filling holes which were there from old pipework they removed the immersion tank, they tested the heating to ensure all was working OK, myself and my husband were very pleased with the lads, the work, and their attitudes in our opinion they are assets to your company and deserve to be told so. "We needed a gas fire and all associated pipework removed. Having agreed the quote we arranged a date for the work. The two engineers, Jake and George, arrived at the agreed time. They were pleasant and considerate. Covers were laid out to protect the floor and furnishings. Within a short space of time the work was completed, the gas fire was gone, the pipework round the outside of the house removed. Matching facing bricks were used to brick up the outside hole and the internal fireplace was bricked up. All the debris was removed, the hearth and surrounds vacuumed and the room left immaculate. We were absolutely delighted with the work."

"We needed a gas fire removed from our lounge and the pipework taken from round the outside of the house. Having accepted the quote Jake and George turned up at the expected time and were very pleasant. Within a short space of time the work was completed and the outside brickwork replaced. The old fireplace was then bricked up. We had expected some mess....soot etc., but the job was done with care and consideration. All the debris was removed, the hearth and surrounds vacuumed and the room left immaculate. A promise to return the next day to plaster the internal brickwork was fulfilled and once again every precaution was taken to return the room to normal. Thank you Jake and George for a job well done."

"If you need a plumber look no further than Maynegasheating, this company deserve five star plus in all aspects of care ,efficiency ,and customer service. Unlike some companies no job is too small for them to care. I was experiencing trouble with my toilet ,the flush system would not stop so consequently water was running all the time. I contacted my landlord who arranged for this company to come and repair the toilet. Within one hour I was contacted by a very caring lady called Yvette who told me that a plumber would be with me within an hour, in less than this time Jacob arrived ,what a very cheerful and efficient man he is. He diagnosed the problem within minutes of arriving and proceeded to rectify the problem, he carefully explained to me what was wrong and how he was going to repair it. He dismantled the cistern found the fault, and repaired it. He spent time making sure it had stopped leaking and left everything tidy.

I am a very elderly lady and so consequently remember good old fashioned service, what a pleasure to find this still exists. A young man who takes a pride in his work and is a wonderful advertisement for this company. .

Ensured every thing worked properly before leaving. The rooms are now a lot warmer we definitely feel the difference. Unfortunately I had to call them back on Thursday to see to a small leak, I called at 11am after work, Charlie arrived with-in 30 mins, problem was quickly sorted, took his advice and left floor boards up for 2 days to let underfloor dry out, this is all good now. The engineer clearly explained the situation with redecorating, and the remaining old pipework set in the concrete floor not removable after capping off  but didn't mind was hardly noticeable anyway.

Pleasure dealing with

"I have just had a new Vaillant boiler put in by Mayne as I am having a new kitchen fitted soon and wanted a boiler that can be put in a cupboard, while they were here we also had a vertical radiator in the kitchen and large radiator in the conservatory.

They also removed the old existing domestic tank put a new slimline stainless steel cylinder with all pipe work and controls

All work was carried out expertly and with respect and courtesy as to the times we are living,

the plumbers were very clean workers and incurred no mess at all and they all made sure we were happy with the work carried out and was of the highest standard we were pleased that they didn’t smoke and no bad language was used.

Jacob, Jordan & George are a credit to Mayne plumbing they are friendly and excellent workers nothing was to much trouble.

My husband initially wanted a higher KW boiler but Darren Mayne was sure we didn’t and explained why and we both have to say he was right and the boiler works very well and the bungalow is lovely and warm and the boiler is very quiet.

All in all I would highly recommend Mayne heating and it was a pleasure dealing with them."

Our first port of call

"Our boiler failed on 28th January. The installation team arrived 08:30 on Tuesday 9th February to replace the boiler and 11 radiators, and departed 17:30 Wednesday 10th. The installation was carried out in an exemplary and delightful fashion - I cannot imagine a team being more assiduous, polite, professional, thorough, competent and thoughtful. We are very pleased with the way in which the installation was carried and the resulting new system - it is significantly better than the old!

Our dealings with the company from start to finish have been excellent, from advising how best to deal with the failed boiler and the system as a whole to final installation and follow-up. A pleasure to have met them - they'll be our first port of call next time."

Having been recommended by my daughter , Darren Mayne duly arrived and explained very comprehensively the system which would be better for my needs and why . "I found Mayne Gas Heating searching the web and was impressed with the many good reviews. From home inspection, quotation and central heating/boiler installation the company not only lived up to those reviews but in my opinion exceeded them.

I received multiple quotations but Mayne Gas Heating was comprehensive, detailed and easy to understand. I required 8 new radiators, new combi boiler, removal of old boiler (bedroom cupboard), and removal of the loft water tanks.

The installation team of Charlie, Jordon & Jacob completed the work within 3 days (heat & hot water available 2nd day) and performed a very professional job. I only wish I could post pictures with the review because everything looks great. It is what you cannot see which really impressed me. My closet in the bedroom has doubled in size with removal of the old hot water tank and the many pipes. A comprehensive removal and not just a basic removal. Even the outside wall bricks used to complete the flu was a pretty good match. Many thanks to the installation team.

Darren, the office staff and the installation team performed a very professional install and for that reason award them maximum 5 stars. I highly recommend Mayne Gas Heating and will have no hesitation to use them again in the future.
