Hot Water Cylinder Replacement
We accepted a quote from Mayne Gas to replace two old water cylinders with a modern unit and we were booked a day and a half within two weeks of acceptance. Charlie and George arrived promptly and both were polite and worked tirelessly so that within the first day we had both hot water and heating back. Everywhere was left clean and tidy and i would have no hesitation in both recommending the company and use them again, thank you to Darren and all the team for a fantastic job, you should be very proud of how your guys approach their work in these difficult times.

I had Mayne replace a hot water tank and reconfigure some pipe work. Although I was not present when the job was carried out when I returned home from work I found the work had been performed to an excellent standard and the pipe work configured in a far more accessible position. The work area was left clean and tidy, thanks.

We had a new boiler installed. The engineers Matt and Jarod were very efficient they arrived on time and were very considerate. Their work was of the highest standard. Service from the company was excellent from the time Darren came to assess the work and the work was carried out as per the time agreed and the budget allocated. I would have no hesitation in recommending this company and will always use them myself in the future.

"I discovered a leak in my boiler late on Sunday evening. I contacted Mayne first thing on the Monday morning to find out if they could help. Within an hour I had someone at my house checking out the issue. The part needed was ordered over the phone and sourced locally so it could be picked up and fitted the same day. The plumber attending not only fixed the leak by replacing the faulty part but also gave my boiler a service whilst he was in there. He left having cleaned up after himself. The whole experience left me pleased that I got in touch with Mayne in the first place. I would use them again if needed and would recommend to others in the future."

"The Boiler engineer that came to me was called Matt and he was brilliant. He was spot on time and didn't stop till he finished. He was polite, efficient and friendly. He told me as he went along how he was doing and at the end explained clearly how things worked. He cleaned up and took any and all old parts and rubbish away. I would recommend Mayne to any friend or colleague that needed help with their heating/water and if in the Louth area I would hope they would get Matt.“

"Had a new boiler fitted to replace our old one Matt and Rees turned up right on time put dust sheets down and got right on with job they were friendly and explained what they was doing did not stop until job was finished cleaned up after themselves and Matt put our doors back on for us could not fault anything then explained how it all worked and about service really strongly recommend."

When we made them a cup of tea, it was nearly cold before they found time to stop working. Matt was assigned to us who was very efficient and knowledgable and quickly identified our problem.

From my first call to have them to take a look at why our hot water was not working to having the full system completely changed was all done within a week. We will use them for everything from now on,

"Powerflush of non-operational gas central heating system"

"The problem - a blocked system - was identified in a diagnostic visit and the solution - a powerflush - was agreed upon and a quotation given after a brief call to Mayne's HQ. At the agreed time on the agreed date, Charlie arrived and proceeded to investigate the blockage hoping that a powerflush might not be necessary. GIven that there was no throughflow in the system a powerflush was begun and, after several hors of hard word by Charlie, the problem seemed to be cleared and the water in the system was no longer black and full of debris. All (heating and hot water) now working as intended."

"Successful powerflush of heating system"
"After our gas Heating system stopped working, we assumed that British Gas - with whom we have a service agreement - would solve the problem. However, their engineer concluded that the system needed a power flush and passed the information on to his manager from whom we heard nothing. We noted that Mayne had a high score on Trusted Traders and contacted them. Their engineer arrived at the agreed time and, came to the same conclusion as the British Gas engineer after trying for some time to clear the apparent blockage. At this visit, the engineer called his HQ and established the cost of the required system power flush and, after dosing the system with cleaner in the hope that it might, after all, clear the system, advised us to contact them at the start of the following week. At the start of the following week, with no apparent improvement in the system - no hot water, no central heating - we arranged for an engineer to spend a day with us power flushing the system. The engineer arrived at the appointed time on the appointed day, tried to clear the system without power flushing and, this proving unsuccessful, went ahead with the procedure. Initially, the blockage resisted the process but, eventually, the flushing broke though revealing water in the system to be almost black and full of debris. After several hours of hard work by the engineer, all was working perfectly and the system contained clean water. Everything was completed satisfactorily, tidily and to budget."

"Very pleased with the work carried out, each evening the house was left tidy with both floorboards and carpets replaced. We were kept informed at all times about the progress of the work and our queries were answered quickly. The 4 employees of Mayne's worked quietly, efficiently and were very polite, in fact we often left them to it and went out as they were working in every room in he house. And we were only getting in the way! Darren Mayne visited on 2 or 3 occasions whilst the work was in progress and came again a couple of days after completion to check that we were satisfied".

"After being let down by another plumbing and heating contractor, I sourced Mayne Gas Heating Ltd on Checkatrade. The response to my query was prompt and efficient. The entire process from start to finish was impeccable. The engineers were extremely polite and nothing was too much trouble. I found the entire process easy, after previously being let down I was nervous about using someone else. "Mayne Gas replaced a boiler and put right very noisy underfloor pipework after I'd had a bad experience with a bodge it and scarper installer. And from first contact with reception, to the managing director himself, all the staff were really nice and understanding. The fitters Jorden and Bradley were lovely, can't praise them enough. Polite and friendly, they kept their work area clean and uncluttered.Did a very professional tidy job of fitting the new boiler. And now I have a lovely quiet central heating system and gallons of hot water. So Thank You And I would recommend your firm to anyone.“

Their engineers are prompt and friendly, and I'm happy to have them in my home, and the office staff are also helpful. They also turned up on time, as promised, which is an important detail to me. The work has been carried out well on each occasion.."
