Considering the busy time of year we were very impressed with the service we received and can certainly recommend Mayne gas heating for any heating jobs you may have. "

"Rang them yesterday as boiler had a problem, didn't expect any turn out for a few days .I spoke to Darren and  explained the symptoms, he then told me what to do to fix it as it was just a frozen condenser pipe, a common problem this time of year. Within half an hour problem fixed . Excellent service all for free ,can't thank them enough, I'm sure some companies may have made a customer wait three days for an engineer to call then charge £100 call out fee when it was a simple fix.  Thankyou again and merry Christmas"

Engineers arrive promptly, are extremely polite, efficient and always willing to find a positive outcome rather than the old familiar sucking of teeth and tch-tch-tching and, unlike Flanders and Swann's 'Gas-Man', don't leave you calling a carpenter in!

However the outside bricks were not matched to the old size as they said they would and I did think the labour charge was expensive for one day along with charging more for the heater than I could buy it for.All being said I would recommend them since what really counts is the overall job being well done, thank you to Darren and the team."

"I've used Mayne a number of times over the past few years and every time the service has been fantastic, I've never had reason to fault them from the staff answering the phones through to the engineers carrying out the work. On this most recent occasion I'd contacted Mayne due to a leak at a property we rent out. Mayne were able to attend the property within a few hours of me calling and the engineer rang me to explain the situation whilst he was still in attendance at the property, so we could agree a course of action. After receiving a quote the work was agreed to be carried out a few days later. I subsequently received a phone call from Mayne to notify me that the work had not taken as long as originally thought and that they were issuing me a refund - there aren't many companies who are that honest! If you're looking for a professional and honest service then I would definitely recommend Mayne."

Work done to high standard

"Darren attend site to survey site for quoting a Combi boiler initially on my request however on discussion due to higher usage of hotwater in the house he advised to switch the vented hotwater system to unvented system to boost hot water pressure around the house. In addition, the boiler in the house is approx 20 years old and with current Gas price and it has broke down few times past few years therefore I decided change the boiler as well as changing the cylinder. It took two and a half days to complete and re-comissioned (due to change of system), work done to high standard and arrive on time , engineer kept everything tidy and clean afterwards..
Highly recommended and probably use again for bathroom refurb next year"

"Came home from a few days away to find no heating or hot water. Rang the boiler suppliers, they could not come in for days. Rang Maine, who i have used before and found to be great. They came the same day and fixed the boiler for me which only happened to be the remote control had un-synced from the boiler. Not only did the engineer fix it for me, he also bled all my radiators which only got warm. Excellent service and excellent engineer. Thank you"

As, the boiler is under warranty with Ideal for 10 years we had an issue which was picked up when be serviced they rang through to Ideal and told them the issue and what was needed so it was all done for me. i would definitely recommend using them"

"After more than 20 years service with annual maintenance carried out by Mayne for about the last 7 years, it finally gave up at the end of 2021. I had already got a quote for a replacement and Mayne carried out the work very efficiently as soon as the replacement was sourced. The technicians are highly trained and highly efficient. It was not a straightforward job as technology has changed over the 20 years, but at the end of the second day the house was again warm! They will be back for the annual service!."

"Following the loss of heating on the coldest night last week (04/01/22) Mayne Gas Heating Limited attended promptly the next day. The diagnosis of a choked heat exchanger was considered as being an uneconomical outlay, considering the age of the boiler, and sourcing a replacement heat exchanger would take some time. The following day Mayne Gas Heating Limited had sourced and fitted a replacement. Their prompt attention and professional performance could not be bettered. I have full confidence in all the engineers involved who were diligent in their diagnosis and the installation of the new boiler. A special mention to Darren who managed to get hold of the replacement boiler so swiftly."

"Our existing boiler developed a leak prior to Xmas and a temporary solution was provided. The boiler was over 13 years old. Mr Mayne visited at short notice before the Xmas break and talked through the options and provided a quotation for a new boiler which was the option we pursued. This was installed effectively and efficiently by the engineer Jake and apprentice George on 4 January. We were pleased with the work Jake and George undertook. They made sure everything was working well before leaving; explained the operation of the boiler and left us the accompanying paperwork. Mr Mayne called a couple of days later to check that everything was working satisfactorily etc. We have used Mayne Gas for many years and will continue to do so. All of the staff are helpful and from first contact with the office to completion of the technical work it is always a great experience to deal with the company."
