Charlie was very tidy and knowledgeable
"Our boiler stopped working during the cold snap in early December. I contacted Mayne gas heating and Darren very promptly provided us with a very reasonable quote for a new boiler. Within less than a week we had a new boiler fitted and working. Charlie, the fitter did a great job, he was very tidy and knowledgeable and explained everything that he was doing. Considering the busy time of year we were very impressed with the service we received and can certainly recommend Mayne gas heating for any heating jobs you may have. "

Can't thank them enough
"Rang them yesterday as boiler had a problem, didn't expect any turn out for a few days .I spoke to Darren and explained the symptoms, he then told me what to do to fix it as it was just a frozen condenser pipe, a common problem this time of year. Within half an hour problem fixed . Excellent service all for free ,can't thank them enough, I'm sure some companies may have made a customer wait three days for an engineer to call then charge £100 call out fee when it was a simple fix. Thankyou again and merry Christmas"

Staffed by helpful, skilled and hard-working people
"We had a problem with our heating ... phoned Mayne's (who didn't install it by the way) ... but have provided us with an exemplary and trustworthy service subsequently. Engineers arrive promptly, are extremely polite, efficient and always willing to find a positive outcome rather than the old familiar sucking of teeth and tch-tch-tching and, unlike Flanders and Swann's 'Gas-Man', don't leave you calling a carpenter in!
This a good company, staffed by helpful, skilled and hard-working people and they thoroughly deserve all the plaudits they receive."

He even phoned a colleague to check on a particular setting for my boiler to ensure that it was set up in the most efficient way and adjusted it accordingly."

Engineers went the 'extra mile'
"We recently had our whole central heating system replaced. Mayne were professional, considerate, polite and hard-working. The work was carried out to a high standard and, in some cases, we were surprised when the engineers went the 'extra mile' to make good the disruption caused. A special mention must be given to the young apprentice who impressed us with his manners and hard work. We would highly recommend Mayne."

"This is my second year with Mayne. I had a phone call to remind me my boiler was due a service. From this phone call until I made payment the service was excellent.
One of the things that worked really well for me was on the day I had a text which gave me updates to the exact time the engineer would arrive very reassuring.

It was installed by Charlie and Alice who did an excellent job of both removal of the old boiler and instillation of the new boiler which was extremely heavy.
Highly recommended for any plumbing and heating related jobs."

Could not fault anything
"Decided on a new boiler as my present one was over 12 years old and letting me down. Rang Maine, quotation next day and new boiler fitted the day after. Could not fault anything. Arrived on time, did the job in 6 hours or so, cleaned everything up after them. This is not the first time I have used Maine, and it will not be the last. Highly recommended."

"Awoke to find a leaking kitchen tap, rang Mayne who immediately found me a plumber with the proviso he might not arrive for at least an hour. Not to worry, plumber arrived, tap was repaired, and we still had time to take a trip up town before lunch. Always a commendable service from this company no matter how big or small the job."

A team of two came to my house and worked diligently for the day on what was technically quite a difficult job. They were very friendly, professional and polite. Job being well done
"We were both very pleased with Mayne gas heating, the quality of the work and effeciency of Charlie and Alice, being done in one day was great and we felt we could trust them to go out and leave them to it. However the outside bricks were not matched to the old size as they said they would and I did think the labour charge was expensive for one day along with charging more for the heater than I could buy it for.All being said I would recommend them since what really counts is the overall job being well done, thank you to Darren and the team."

There aren't many companies who are that honest!
"I've used Mayne a number of times over the past few years and every time the service has been fantastic, I've never had reason to fault them from the staff answering the phones through to the engineers carrying out the work. On this most recent occasion I'd contacted Mayne due to a leak at a property we rent out. Mayne were able to attend the property within a few hours of me calling and the engineer rang me to explain the situation whilst he was still in attendance at the property, so we could agree a course of action. After receiving a quote the work was agreed to be carried out a few days later. I subsequently received a phone call from Mayne to notify me that the work had not taken as long as originally thought and that they were issuing me a refund - there aren't many companies who are that honest! If you're looking for a professional and honest service then I would definitely recommend Mayne."

Work done to high standard
"Darren attend site to survey site for quoting a Combi boiler initially on my request however on discussion due to higher usage of hotwater in the house he advised to switch the vented hotwater system to unvented system to boost hot water pressure around the house. In addition, the boiler in the house is approx 20 years old and with current Gas price and it has broke down few times past few years therefore I decided change the boiler as well as changing the cylinder. It took two and a half days to complete and re-comissioned (due to change of system), work done to high standard and arrive on time , engineer kept everything tidy and clean afterwards..
Highly recommended and probably use again for bathroom refurb next year"

"I have had 2 recent visits from Mayne Gas - on both occasions engineers arrived on time, were very efficient and approachable. The 2 issues were sorted out very professionally with engineers being on time and pricing being in accordance with the quotations.
I have used Mayne Gas for many years and expect to continue to do so. The technical and engineering officers are supported by an efficient and pleasant administrative staff group. These two elements of the business working in tandem provide a service that in my experience is second to none.
When emergency problems arrive Maybe Gas seem very adept at shuffling work patterns to bring help ASAP which is always appreciated. Customer = Phil, Waltham, Grimsby."

"Came home from a few days away to find no heating or hot water. Rang the boiler suppliers, they could not come in for days. Rang Maine, who i have used before and found to be great. They came the same day and fixed the boiler for me which only happened to be the remote control had un-synced from the boiler. Not only did the engineer fix it for me, he also bled all my radiators which only got warm. Excellent service and excellent engineer. Thank you"

Very pleased with quality of work and service.
"We called the plumber to cap off two pipes which used to supply a sink we had removed. The plumber did an excellent job of chipping away brickwork to enable the plasterboard to be patched and hide the pipe ends. The plumber was personable and took the time to explain what he was doing and demonstrated how to isolate the hot water tank. Very pleased with the quality of the work and service we received.

"This is the 5th year we have had our annual service done with them and I can't fault them. As, the boiler is under warranty with Ideal for 10 years we had an issue which was picked up when be serviced they rang through to Ideal and told them the issue and what was needed so it was all done for me. i would definitely recommend using them"

From start to finish, their work was superb.
"We had our old boiler and 5 radiators replaced with nice modern efficient ones by Maynes, and from start to finish, their work was superb.
They arrived on time, each day, and worked very hard each day, despite being hampered by our 2 inquisitive greyhounds!
Also, my wife is disabled, and they worked around her with great care and efficiency.
They left every work area clean and tidy, probably better than it was before.
Overall, we are very happy indeed with all aspects of the job, and now have a future proof, warm home."

They will be back for the annual service!.
"After more than 20 years service with annual maintenance carried out by Mayne for about the last 7 years, it finally gave up at the end of 2021. I had already got a quote for a replacement and Mayne carried out the work very efficiently as soon as the replacement was sourced. The technicians are highly trained and highly efficient. It was not a straightforward job as technology has changed over the 20 years, but at the end of the second day the house was again warm! They will be back for the annual service!."

"After many years of annual servicing by Mayne the old boiler finally packed in. Having previously consulted Mayne about a replacement they carried out a replacement very quickly and efficiently. It involved extensive pipework mods and a new location for the boiler. Two weeks it is going well!"

Their prompt attention and professional performance could not be bettered
"Following the loss of heating on the coldest night last week (04/01/22) Mayne Gas Heating Limited attended promptly the next day. The diagnosis of a choked heat exchanger was considered as being an uneconomical outlay, considering the age of the boiler, and sourcing a replacement heat exchanger would take some time. The following day Mayne Gas Heating Limited had sourced and fitted a replacement. Their prompt attention and professional performance could not be bettered. I have full confidence in all the engineers involved who were diligent in their diagnosis and the installation of the new boiler. A special mention to Darren who managed to get hold of the replacement boiler so swiftly."

"Our boiler failed mid December and I envisaged a cold Christmas, however contacted Mayne and quickly had a visit and estimate for the replacement. Boiler fitted by two really nice guys just a few days before Christmas and was really working well, keeping us warm and cosy.

It is always a great experience to deal with the company
"Our existing boiler developed a leak prior to Xmas and a temporary solution was provided. The boiler was over 13 years old. Mr Mayne visited at short notice before the Xmas break and talked through the options and provided a quotation for a new boiler which was the option we pursued. This was installed effectively and efficiently by the engineer Jake and apprentice George on 4 January. We were pleased with the work Jake and George undertook. They made sure everything was working well before leaving; explained the operation of the boiler and left us the accompanying paperwork. Mr Mayne called a couple of days later to check that everything was working satisfactorily etc. We have used Mayne Gas for many years and will continue to do so. All of the staff are helpful and from first contact with the office to completion of the technical work it is always a great experience to deal with the company."
