Recent research by Confused.com revealed that between November 2022 and December 2023, Air Source Heat Pumps were the UK’s most searched heating solution, racking up a staggering 96,000 Google searches per month—that’s over a million a year.

Even with price caps, typical UK homes are paying significantly more to heat their homes than they were just a few years ago. With the current cap sitting at £1,928 per year, it’s no surprise that families are exploring alternatives.

The biggest driver of interest? The Boiler Upgrade Scheme, which offers up to £7,500 off the cost of an ASHP installation. Add to that an extra £2,500 cashback from Worcester Bosch on select models (until April 2025), and some homes can save £10,000 or more on their heat pump system.

Despite rising demand, the UK still lacks enough qualified renewable heating installers. Only 17% of UK towns and cities have one renewable energy company per 10,000 people. That makes access to experienced, certified installers even more valuable—especially in areas like North East Lincolnshire.
