It is essential that gas fires and chimneys are regularly inspected and maintained. Our expert Gas Safe Registered Engineers will carry out a service for you to ensure all is safe and in good working order. It is a requirement that the manufacturer's maintenance manual is made available for the engineer during the visit to confirm various settings as well as ventilation requirements and coal patterns etc. Unfortunately we cannot proceed without the manual as that is a contravention of gas safe register guidelines.
Definition of a Service for a Fire:
Disconnect and remove fire (if applicable)
Visual inspection of appliance, chimney, and terminal. (Out of view terminals will be considered as not installed to current standards).
Flue integrity smoke test.
Clean and inspect appliance.
Refit and test.
Spillage and gas tightness check
Provide documentation and send service reminder within 12 Months
