On April 1st, 2009, Gas Safe Register took over from Corgi (Council of Registered Gas Installers) as the official governing body of gas engineers in the UK. It is law that anyone working on, or installing gas appliances or their flues must be suitably qualified and registered. Mayne Gas Heating Ltd can be found on the Gas Safe Register website on number 208527, where you can see our Engineers and their qualifications.

1. Check they are registered
All Gas Safe registered engineers carry a Gas Safe ID card with a unique licence number. Always ask to see their card.
2. Check they are qualified
Gas Engineers have a range of qualifications listed on the back of their card that permit them to carry out specific types of gas work and when that qualification expires. It's important to check which work they are qualified to do before you use them.
