"Excellent and prompt care at a very, very cold time of year! Boiler engineers were professional, clean (plastic shoes covers on in/out off!) and quite quiet considering what they needed to do! There was a minor follow-up problem and the engineer came out of his way home to fix it the very next day. We are extremely happy with Mayne Gas Heating and will defintely use them again."

"In my experience, the customer experience when dealing with Mayne's is always first class in every respect. From first contacting the office where the staff are always polite and helpful, to the engineers who are also very skilled and efficient, you cannot find a better company to deal with. John and Molly came to do some work on our boiler and they are punctual and cheerful in addition to being thorough in their work.."

“Excellent work fitting a new fire place. Recommended.”
"We had a complete new fireplace fitted. We had approached other fire place companies in the Grimsby but when told that the waiting list was 3 months to have it installed we looked elsewhere. We discovered somewhat by chance that Mayne could not only install the new gas fire but also install all the new marble fire surround as well. We bought the fireplace and fire surround online and Mayne Gas fitted it for us within a couple of weeks. Much quicker and saved us £100s at the same time and we couldn't be happier with the finished result. The team who came to fit the surround and fire were very courteous and professional. I'm a perfectionist and I would happily recommending Mayne Gas for a quality job."

"The price quoted was very reasonable for the work carried out. I was just getting an old gas fire taken out ready for a log burner to go in. The guy doing the work was lovely and arrived spot on time. I was really impressed would recommend them to anyone and would defiantly use them again.."

"After researching plumbing companies, we contacted Mayne for a quote for a replacement boiler, 1 additional radiator and 2 radiator upgrades. The quote was undertaken quickly, professionally and without any fuss. We booked the work in and were not disappointed.
On the day, the workmen (Ryan, Charlie and Keir) turned up on time with Darren to introduce them all to us. They then just got on with the job and we are more than satisfied with the way the work was undertaken and we are already feeling the benefits of the new boiler.
They all worked in a very tidy manner and everything was left clean and tidy for us. They were extremely polite, efficient and professional.
We will not hesitate in recommending Mayne to friends and family and will be using them for yearly servicing and other plumbing jobs that crop up.."

"Required two gas fires and a boiler servicing, John, the engineer arrived as per time slot, he wore protective shoe covers while in the house, keeping carpets clean and covers were put down near working areas. All three units were serviced and tested, and any issues explained as these were older units, John was polite and informative, very pleased with whole service. I would recommend this company for any heating related jobs, a great efficient service."

Even replaced plaster board to airing cupboard ceiling where the boiler was installed that had been damaged by a previous plumber. Very good at explaining how to work the boiler. Refreshing to see there are still some good tradesmen around.”

“Excellent customer service, engineer rang me half an hour before so I could meet him at job. They arrived promptly and introduced themselves, engineer and apprentice. The job was completed efficiently with the engineer using some aspects to instruct the apprentice and then double checking his results. Couldn't be happier and will use again and recommend to anyone needing gas services.”

“The chap who came was very polite and courteous, he immediately put his shoe covers on even though I have a tiled floor. He sealed the room off for drilling and explained it would get very dusty. He covered everything over to protect from dust. I had to stop him for a drink as he'd been there ages and hadnt had a drink.
He was thourough and cleaned up after he'd finished. He showed me how everything worked and asked if i was happy with the work. I have used mayne gas in the past and i am always very pleased with how they work.”

“A great company that I employed to put right what another company had left in place. Excellent customer service and extremely knowledgeable with both the technical and aesthetic aspects of their work. All the workman were pleasant and polite and respectful and wore overshoes even though they didn't have to (laminate flooring). Darren Mayne explained the shortcomings of the existing system and I would quite happily go to them in the future for anything else I may need."

“We had a complete central heating system install (cylinder system to combi) including replacement lead pipes that were causing leaks. The price was reasonable and formal quotations were provided. The work guys were punctual and friendly, Darren also came down each day to ensure the job was done correctly. Professional tests and regulations were followed along with any updates fed back to me. Although the work went slightly over schedule this was understandable because of the challenges that were found but the guys worked late to speed things up. If there is some criticism it would be due to some cosmetic issues that were left post install but this can be understood due to the large disruption of the property. I was assured that if there are any problems to contact them but hopefully there won't be i'm sure."

“Mayne came this week at very short notice to fit us with a new central heating system and boiler. Mr Mayne himself came out everyday to check on the progress and was very approachable when it came to our own ideas after the initial quote was done. Monday morning at 8am Charlie and Matt arrived and were polite and friendly, we met some issues on the first couple of days which set us back but the lads kept going with enthusiasm and didn't leave till past 5 pm. The next day we had Gary join the other two and he also was a friendly lovely guy. Due to the issue the day before work was slightly off schedule but they stayed till gone half past seven to make sure we had hot water and gas even working through meal breaks! On completion of the job we found the work areas clean and tidy and with minimal evidence they had ever been in the room. Myself and my husband are very happy with the job and would definitely recommend Mayne to people. Many thanks to Darren,Gary,Charlie and Matt who were a great bunch of men from day one! P.s sorry about the dog who wanted to badger you constantly!“

“I came across Maynegasheating on the checkatrade site and after reading the rating/reviews decided to give them a go. I needed them to service my boiler and get them to replace my faulty heating/water contoll. Very professional and reasonably priced, came within the time slot given, tidy and polite, even replaced my control unit (which I had already purchased) at no extra cost. The work was carried out with courtesy and professionalism. The work was quite difficult as the boiler is quite tightly fitted in a kitchen cupboard, however this was very patiently overcome. Thank you & see you next year.”

“We had a new boiler fitted two weeks ago and because the company was based in Rotherham they were reluctant to return and see to a radiator problem, they constantly fobbed us off. We decided to have it done by a local company. John and Keir came to our home this afternoon and within an hour the problem was sorted. They balanced the radiators and when they left our lounge was at last, lovely and warm.
I have to say that I have never had trades people in my home that were as …well mannered, professional and patient. John took the time to explain everything to me about the boiler, the original fitter just wanted to be away at the end of the job and explained nothing.
John took time to check everything before they left and made sure I was happy with what they had done. I am from Newcastle and John had a lot of knowledge of all things “Geordie” that he entertained Keir with. It was a pleasure to have them in my home. Thank you for exceptional customer service and a job well done. Rated 100% by me.“

The Mayne boiler size came out the smallest, but I now know that this was because it was carefully calculated. We decided to go with the Mayne quote and we are very pleased with the results. The engineers who came to fit the system did excellent work and even managed to reuse our old towel rail. We now have a new system, and a boiler with a 10 year warranty. I work in engineering and my experience is that it is rare to find companies as good as this. We are very grateful to Mayne for providing such a professional service. Thanks guys“

“My boiler kept losing pressure, failing to start, only giving me either hot water or heating and not both so I called M.G.H in to service it. I was told, and shown, about all the problems straight away. Leaking from the back, leaking from expansion tank, solid “rubber” hoses, the kettling, ticking and whistling noises when attempting to start etc. and that it really needed major repair and advised me that, because of the state and age, I would be better off replacing it, sending me a quote of over £850 and a note stating that it is beyond economical repair. There wasn’t much they could do to help but they did their best.“
